BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team moved to 3-2 overall, 2-0 at home, with its 65-53 win over Emory University in Bill Battle Coliseum Saturday afternoon.
Kaitlin Hogan (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) had a stellar game. She put up a team and career-high 17 points while grabbing a career-high eight rebounds and career-high five assists.
Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) and Elizabeth Philpot (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park HS) earned their first double-doubles of the season. Olsen finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Philpot tied a career-high 10 points while grabbing a game and career-high 12 rebounds.
Leah Middleton (Decatur, Ga./St. Pius X HS) had a standout performance as well. The freshman put up 13 points, shooting 71-percent from the floor. She also picked up a game-high two steals, tying a career-high.
BSC hits the road next. They travel to Terre Haute, Indiana to take on Rose-Hulman Tuesday, December 12. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
