GLASSBORO, N.J. (Jan. 25, 2017) – Gabby Greene (Howell, NJ/Howell) shot down a Rutgers University-Camden program record for three-pointers in a game and the Scarlet Raptors rode her hot hand to a 84-75 victory over the Rowan University women here Wednesday night in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game.

Greene, the Raptors' hot-shooting sophomore guard, drained 11 three-pointers to set a single-game program mark as the Scarlet Raptors improved to 12-6 overall and 6-5 in the NJAC. She shattered the previous single-game mark of eight treys, set by Alex Gravinese against the College of Staten Island on Feb. 17, 2014.

Greene's previous single-game high was six treys, accomplished twice, most recently on Jan. 6 against Rutgers-Newark. She scored 30 points in that game, which was her career high until burning the nets for 33 points against Rowan Wednesday night.

The huge performance not only set a single-game program mark, but it lifted Greene's season output to 62 treys, the fourth-highest single-season mark in Rutgers-Camden history. She is only 11 shy of Gravinese's single-season mark of 73, set during the 2014-15 campaign.

Greene finished her huge night shooting 11-for-17 overall and a blistering 11-for-15 from three-point range. Her 11 treys were only four shy of the Division III and NJAC record set by William Paterson's Michelle Jones against New Jersey City on Jan. 9, 1991. Jones took 33 attempts to get her 15 treys.

Rutgers-Camden never trailed in the game, taking a quick 11-0 lead, aided by a pair of three-pointers from Greene. Rowan (13-6 overall, 7-5 in the NJAC) managed to cut its gap to 29-28 early in the second quarter before an 8-2 Raptor run propelled Rutgers-Camden into the half with a 44-37 advantage. By that time, Greene was shooting 6-for-9 from three-point range.

At 6:51 of the third quarter, Greene nailed her record-tying eighth trey and she set a new program mark with 14 seconds remaining in the quarter. She added her 10th and 11th three-pointers in the fourth quarter as Rutgers-Camden snapped a three-game losing streak against Rowan, which still leads the all-time series, 51-16.

Greene had plenty of support from her teammates as the Scarlet Raptors placed four players in double figures. Junior guard Jovan Childers (Bridgeton, NJ/Bridgeton) scored 18 points and added seven rebounds and her Raptor career high of six assists. Junior forward/center Michelle Obasi (Camden, NJ/Camden Catholic) notched 14 points, set her career high with five assists and added eight rebounds to tie fellow junior co-captain Cara Racobaldo (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) for game-high honors. Racobaldo also added 12 points and a game-high seven assists.

Rutgers-Camden, which held a 46-42 edge off the boards, also received seven rebounds from sophomore guard Ariel Robinson (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) and six from senior center Caroline Santiago (Buena, NJ/Buena Regional).

Rowan placed five players in double figures, led by senior guard Anyssa Sanchez (Pine Hill, NJ/Sterling), who notched 18 points. Junior guard Summer Crilley (Galloway, NJ/Holy Spirit) scored 12, freshman guard Alexis Kriley (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) netted 11 and both junior center April Szymczyk (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) and sophomore guard Olivia Rulon (Cape May Court House, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) scored 10 apiece. Crilley added six rebounds and a game-high four steals.

Overall, Rutgers-Camden shot 32-for-64 (50 percent) from the floor. The Raptors were even better from three-point range, shooting 13-for-25 (52 percent).

Rutgers-Camden returns to action Saturday with a 6 p.m. game at NJAC sister school Rutgers-Newark.
