LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team held visiting Dominican to just 25 percent shooting in a victory on Tuesday night.

• Benedictine did not trail after a three-pointer from Venita Parsons, handing the squad an 8-6 lead with 2:10 left in the first quarter
• Roxanna Gaddis connected on a three-pointer at the close of the first to give Benedictine an 11-8 advantage
• A 7-0 run in the second quarter opened on a Georgia Alexakos layup and capped with a Casey Williams basket stretched the lead to 24-12
• Benedictine held a 24-16 halftime edge
• Dominican entered as the hottest team in the conference and stayed close through the third but Benedictine tallied the final five points to take the largest lead of the game at 41-27
• D'Asia Williams hit a jumper with 5:13 left in the game to hand Benedictine a 50-34 lead
• The visitors pulled within eight late but three free throws sealed the decision
• Benedictine led for 35:44 of the contest, which featured two ties and three lead changes

• Benedictine posted the third lowest shooting percentage of the year at 31.1, making just 19 field goals
• The defense forced 23 turnovers and turned them into 19 points
• The defense also forced Dominican into the lowest shooting percentage from an opponent this year
• Dominican became the second consecutive opponent to outrebound Benedictine at 51-42, but converted just 11 second chance points off 15 offensive boards
• Parsons paced Benedictine with 13 points
• Alexakos finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and five steals
• Casey Williams collected eight points with four steals
• The teams combined for 58 free throws
