Fontbonne's Haring dishes out 500th career assist

St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne University senior Emmie Haring dished out seven assists in the first half against Iowa Wesleyan University Monday afternoon, on her way to nine assists and seven steals. Her sixth assist, a long ball sent to Paige Black for a fast break layup was the 500th of her career (seen below).

The NCAA Division III leader in total assists has 122 assists on the year and averages 7.6 per game. 

Haring is only the second player in the history of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to achieve the feat and has 503 assists on the year with seven games remaining in the season.

The point guard from Ballwin, Mo. owns the top two single-season assist marks in the history of the program and in December broke the career mark for Fontbonne set back in 2001 (436 assists). Her current single-season assist record is 149 assists. She also broke her own single-game record for assists in a game this season when she tallied 14 in an away contest against Westminster College.
