THE DETAILS
• Benedictine built an early lead in a contest that featured eight ties and 10 lead changes
• With the score tied at 8-8 after the first quarter, Benedictine opened a seven-point edge in the second
• Alanna Ferry hit a pair of free throws and a three-pointer from Payton Sims put Benedictine ahead 20-13 with 3:11 to play in the first half
• Wisconsin Lutheran whittled the margin down to three at the half at 22-19
• The hosts connected on consecutive three-pointers to open the third quarter, taking the lead
• Nicole Botich finished off a three-point play with 4:32 remaining in the quarter to give Benedictine a 33-31 edge
• Jasma Williams opened the fourth quarter with a layup to allow Benedictine to lead 40-36
• The score was tied for the eighth time with four minutes left, but a pair of Wisconsin Lutheran runs put the game away
STAT LEADERS
• Ferry paced Benedictine with 15 points, adding seven rebounds and four assists
• Sims also was able to reach double digits, scoring 10 off the bench
• Benedictine held a 46-21 advantage on the glass with Botich and DeKayla Crayton grabbing 11 boards apiece
• Wisconsin Lutheran shot 56.5 percent in the second half
