New Rochelle, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent sophomore Christina Barone (Staten Island, N.Y.) posted career-highs in assists with 18 and steals with 13, adding 21 points for the program's first triple-double since 2008 in a 111-51 victory over Yeshiva to close out the regular season. The triple-double is the first for the program since Kaitlin Burud posted 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 steals against Purchase on February 23, 2008.

Mount Saint Vincent was never tested in the game and jumped out to a 20-7 lead on a Barone three-point field goal with 15:07 left in the first half. The Dolphins would allow Yeshiva to climb to within nine point three times before halftime, before closing the period with a 34-15 stretch to take a 60-32 lead into the intermission.

The Dolphins shot just shy of 49-percent from the floor in the first half and had three players combine to score 40 of the team's 60 points. Brittany Carroll (Staten Island, N.Y.) went 6-for-8 from behind the arc on her way to 20 points in the first half, while Barone added 10 points and assisted on 10 of the team's 21 conversions. Theresa Carey (Hampton Bays, N.Y.) chipped in with 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting.

Mount Saint Vincent would not allow Yeshiva closer than the 28 points it was down at the half and quickly spread its lead to 74-34 on a Nicole Oliver (Carmel, N.Y.) lay-in early in the second stanza. The advantage would bulge to a game-high 61 points with just under eight minutes left in regulation following a pair of Brooke West (Trenton, N.J.) free-throws.

The Mount converted on 62.1-percent of its field goal attempts after halftime on Thursday and went 5-for-7 from behind the arc in the second period. Barone scored 11 points, handed out eight assists and swiped eight steals in the second half, going 3-for-3 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Barone finished off her career-night 6-for-11 from the floor, including three triples, and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Her assist total surpassed her previous career-high of 13 and her steal total better her previous standard of seven. Barone narrowly missed out on a quadruple-double, after securing nine rebounds in the game.

Carroll led all players in the game with 27 points after going 10-for-15 from the floor, connecting on seven three-pointers. She added four assists for the Dolphins. Kelly Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) contributed 18 points on Thursday and freshman Kelly Nola (Staten Island, N.Y.) totaled eight points for the Dolphins.

Overall, Mount Saint Vincent shot 54.2-percent for the game and a blistering 61.5-percent from three-point range. The Dolphins picked up 53 points off of Yeshiva turnovers and outscored the Maccabees 18-4 on the fast break.

Thursday's win pushes Mount Saint Vincent to 20-5 overall. The Dolphins will be back in action again on February 26 when they open play in the Skyline Conference Tournament. Opponent, site and game time will be announced following the Sage, Farmingdale State game on Saturday afternoon.
