ALTOONA, Pa. – The Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team slid past conference-foe Penn State Altoona on Saturday afternoon, 77-65.

Sophomore Kaserra Owens' strong shooting led to a game-high 21 points to go with her six rebounds and four assists, while freshman Ali Rinfrette posted a double-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

Senior Alicia Kimmel registered 12 points, five rebounds and two assists to round out the top performers on the road Saturday. Kimmel finished 5-of-8 from the floor and 2-for-2 from the line.

Pitt-Bradford (7-4, 4-1) out-dueled Penn State Altoona (2-9, 2-4) on the boards, 39-34, and committed fewer turnovers by a margin of plus-2, 17-15.

The Panthers held a 38-29 advantage at the break, before holding a three-point advantage in the second half as well, to cap off a huge road win in conference.

"I'm always happy with a good road win, but we have a lot of room to improve," said head coach Patrick Daniel. "We have a quick turnaround with another road game tomorrow and we need to be ready to play."

The Lady Panthers are back in action tomorrow, Jan. 11, as they face Mount Aloysius in Cresson, Pa., at 1 p.m.
