HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Kate McDonald (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) added another milestone to her career.  The forward was named to the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) Capital One Academic All-District team Thursday afternoon. McDonald is the first Eagle to earn all-district honors and one of two Landmark Conference student-athletes represented.  She is currently studying business management with a secondary emphasis in communication.

"I'm proud of Kate," said head coach Danny Young-Uhrich.  "She works hard in the classroom and on the court."

A team captain, McDonald has over 1,300 career points and over 1,000 rebounds.  She is a two-time D3Hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection and three-time All-Landmark Conference honoree.  An Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star, she ranks nationally in eight different categories including sixth in double-doubles and 10th in steals.

McDonald leads the team in points, rebounds, blocks, and steals and is second in assists and minutes.  She has started over 70 straight games and logged five 20+ point performances this season.
