The Baruch College Bearcats lost 70-59 to DeSales University on Sunday afternoon in the ARC Arena.
The second straight setback this weekend drops to the Bearcats to 7-4, while the visiting Bulldogs improve to 10-2.
The Bearcats trailed throughout the contest and were down 34-23 at halftime.
They scored seven straight points during the second half to get as close as 42-40 with exactly 13:00 left, but the Bulldogs responded by scoring the next 11 points to turn a close game back into a comfortable 53-40 advantage.
The short-handed Bearcats were unable to create another rally as the visitors from the Freedom Conference finished shooting 52 percent in the second half to notch the non-conference victory.
Alicea Ulmer (12 rebounds) and Iyana Abrams (7 rebounds, 4 assists) finished with 16 points each in the tough loss. Symone Green tallied a career-high 10 (5-7 fg) points off the bench.
Megan Gallagher led the Bulldogs with 17 points (8-of-9 FT).
