HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Kate McDonald (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) of the Juniata College women's basketball team was named Landmark Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.  The forward currently leads the team in points, rebounds and steals, and is second in assists.

"She has just been solid for us offensively and defensively," said head coach Danny Young-Uhrich.  "She is probably going to get a couple of these nods.  "She is very consistent for us, so it's more about who else is performing in the conference."

McDonald helped the Eagles remain undefeated (5-0) by scoring a game-high 28 points in just 29 minutes on the court in Juniata's win over Eastern University last Saturday.  It marked her third 20-point performance of the year.

With her game-high 10 rebounds, McDonald also earned her fourth double-double of the season.  She currently averages 21.4 points and 12.2 rebounds per game, and is shooting 64.9 percent from the floor.
