McDonald Named Landmark Player of the Week

More news about: Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – For the second time this season junior Kate McDonald (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) has been named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.  The 5-10 forward is ranked nationally in seven different categories and currently leads the team in several categories, including points, rebounds, steals and blocks.

"She's probably our most consistent performer throughout the year and just her work ethic, she deserves it," said head coach Danny Young-Uhrich.  "All our kids deserve it, but when you're putting up consistent numbers, I think that deserves player of the week nods.

McDonald averaged a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds this past week.  She scored a game and career-high 34 in the Eagles upset of No. 19 Moravian and grabbed 15 rebounds.  McDonald was also named player of the week back on December 10.

Juniata travels down to Towson, Md. on Wednesday to face Goucher College at 7 p.m.
