UW-La Crosse Earns Win over Concordia

La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 57-45 victory over Concordia University (Wis.) Wednesday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 4-6 on the season while the Falcons fall to 6-4 on the year. It was the first-ever meeting between the two teams. 

UW-L never trailed in Wednesday's contest, racing out to a 11-3 lead. The Eagles led 19-14 with 2:56 left in the first half when they went on a 9-2 run to lead 28-16 at intermission.

UW-L opened the second half on a 14-0 run to lead 42-16 with 14:41 remaining. The Eagles made seven of their first nine shots from the field while the Falcons missed their first seven shots in the second half and also had four turnovers. 

Concordia could get no closer than the final margin of 12 points. 

Erin Levenhagen led UW-L with a career-high 15 points, finishing four-of-five from the field and seven-of-nine at the free throw line. She also had six rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Maggi Bishop recorded her first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The 10 rebounds tied her career-high. Bishop had three assists and three blocks. 

Briana Radowicz finished with nine points, four rebounds and four assists while Camille Driscoll and Lexi Masiak each had eight points. Driscoll had five rebounds while Masiak recorded four. 

UW-L shot 53.7% from the field, including 12.5% (one-of-eight) from three-point range. The Eagles shot 66.7% (12-of-18) at the line.

Katie Luethe led Concordia with 11 points.

The Falcons shot 27.6% from the field, including 23.5% (four-of-17) from three-point range. Concordia shot 69.2% (nine-of-13) at the free throw line. 

UW-L returns to action Thursday, December 27 in the JustAgame Holiday Classic. The Eagles face Ripon College (Wis.) at 5:30 p.m. in the JustAgame Fieldhouse.
