Trinity Women's Basketball Falls To Amherst

Hartford, Conn. – Senior tri-captain guard Caroline Stedman (Walpole, Mass.) had 16 points, four rebounds, and two blocks to lead the visiting Amherst College Lord Jeffs to a 66-44 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's basketball action this afternoon on Ogrodnik Court in Oosting Gymnasium. Trinity improves drops to 6-10 overall and 1-5 in the NESCAC with its third consecutive setback, while the top-ranked Lord Jeffs improve to 19-0 with their 38th victory in a row and their sixth straight against the Bantams.

Amherst scored 20 of the game's first 21 points and maintained a comfortable lead throughout the contest. Senior tri-captain guard Michelle Royals (Torrington, Conn.) had 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and a blocked shot for the Bantams. Lord Jeff freshman center Megan Robertson (Tewksbury, Mass.) led all rebounders with 11 and blocked a shot.
