NEWBERG, Ore. – Jami Roos scored a game-high 20 points off the bench while the George Fox University defense made 26 steals and forced 48 Colorado College turnovers as the third-ranked Bruins overwhelmed the visiting Tigers 69-27 in a non-conference women's basketball game Friday evening here at the Wheeler Sports Center's Miller Gym.

The Bruins scored the first six points of the game on baskets by Megan Arnoldy, Hayley Cusick, and Keisha Gordon before Becky Luetjen put the Tigers on the board with a layup at the 16:31 mark.  Roos, Breezy Rinehart-Young, and Hannah Munger followed with consecutive goals for the Bruins as they built a 12-2 lead eight minutes into the game.

The Bruins were never seriously threatened again.  A 9-0 run on three-point shots by Arianna Mohsenian and Roos and a conventional three-point play by Gordon boosted the Bruin advantage to 26-8 with 5:45 left in the half.  Their largest lead of the half was 38-14, the halftime score, on a three by Roos with seven seconds left.

George Fox shot .464 (13-28) from the field in the period while holding Colorado College to a .313 (5-16) mark and forcing 25 Tiger turnovers.  Roos led all scorers with 15 points in the half, while Luetjen had six for the Tigers.

The Bruins continued to stretch the lead by holding the Tigers scoreless for over six minutes to start the second half and scoring 10 points in that span, a steal and layup by Kylee Parker making it 48-14 with 13:51 left.  A jumper by Jordy Stephenson ended the Tigers' drought at the 13:19 mark, but the Bruins were never deterred.  Their largest lead of the game was 44 points following a three by Kelsey Khaw that made it 68-24 with 6:41 to go.

Roos led all scorers with her 20 points for the Bruins, hitting three three-pointers and 9-10 from the line, and Gordon added 10.  The Bruins finished with a .429 (21-49) floor percentage.  Munger led the Bruins, who were out-rebounded by Tigers 40-30, on the boards with seven rebounds.  Mohsenian, Parker, and Dacia Heckendorf passed out three assists apiece, Gordon and Rinehart-Young each made five steals, and Munger blocked three shots.

Luetjen was the top scorer for the Tigers with seven points and Sarah Gunkel hit all three of her shots for six points.  Colorado College shot .200 (4-20) in the second half and wound up at .250 (9-36) for the game.  Luetjen, Gunkel, Shelby Hansen, and Marsisa Gradoz all have five rebounds for the Tigers.
