SCRANTON, Pa.--The Lady Royals added another chapter to the already impressive history of head coach Mike Strong Friday night, sowing up a 91-38 victory over Goucher College in what was Strong's 750th win of his career.

Scranton's season-high 91 points was result of good shooting from the floor, with the Lady Royals finishing 33 of 63 from the floor, including a season-high 14 3-pointers.

After leading 17-13 with just over nine minutes remaining in the first half, the Lady Royals embarked on what would turn into a 30-7 run to end the half.  First-year guard Allison Sweeney (Wall, N.J./Saint Rose) was integral during this run, scoring 13 of her 16 points in the final seven minutes.  Senior guard Megan Kopecki (Millington, N.J./Watchung Hills Regional) also finished with 16 point and six assists.

Junior guard Sidney Jaques (Rosemont, N.J./Hunterdon Central) and senior guard Jennifer King (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) added 13 points apiece for the Lady Royals, with King matching her career-high in rebounds with seven.

First-year guard Sharnell Huff (Bowie, Md./Bowie) scored a game-high 17 points for the Gophers, finishing 6 of 17 from the floor.

Strong's 750 wins leaves him just seven behind legendary coach Phil Kahler of St. John Fisher College, who retired in 2008 with 757 career victories.

Tonight's game was also important in terms of Landmark Conference play.  With Moravian College losing to The Catholic University of America, 70-64, the Lady Royals now move to first place in the Landmark Conference with four games left to play.

Currently sitting at 15-5 overall and 9-1 in the Landmark Conference, the Lady Royals will host The Catholic University of America tomorrow at the Long Center, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
