(Erie, PA) – The 15th ranked Medaille College women's basketball team stumbled on the road and saw their twelve game win streak snapped as Penn State-Behrend upended the Lady Mavs (75-61) in the Junker Center.  It is the first regular season AMCC loss in the last 30 games for Medaille.

It was a game that saw the Lady Mavs carry a four point lead into the half (37-33), but a dominant performance by the Lions in the second half led to the Behrend win.  The Lions connected on (49.1%) of their shots from the floor in the game while Medaille knocked down just (35.3%) from the field.

The three point arc was where this game was decided as Penn State-Behrend torched Medaille going (14 for 28) from downtown while the Lady Mavs struggled, connecting on just (4 of 26) attempts from long range.

In the loss the Lady Mavs were once again led by their duo of super freshmen as Joelle Pollak (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore East) who posted a game high (15) points and (6) assists; while Bianca Smiley (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) tallied (14) points and pulled down (10) boards.

Senior Mandy Sahhar (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) was aggressive on the glass, pulling down a game high (12) caroms.  Fellow senior Kacie Mills (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore East) also reached double digits in the scoring column, as she tallied (11) points on the night.

The loss drops Medaille to (14-2) overall and they suffer their first conference loss and are now (9-1) in the AMCC.  The Lady Mavs will look to rebound when they host Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday (1/22) at 3:00pm in the Sullivan Center.
