HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's basketball team picked up a key Centennial Conference road victory as four Bullets reached double-figures in a 61-50 decision at Haverford College on Wednesday night.

Gettysburg, (7-3, 2-3 CC) was led by senior Caitlin Moser (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) and junior Julie McGrory (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) with 14 points apiece. Freshman Katie Earley (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) posted a career-high 11 points on a perfect night from the field (3-3 3FG, 2-2 FT), while fellow first-year Rianna Doane (Glen Mills, Pa./Bayard Rustin) logged 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Haverford (5-5, 3-4 CC) took its only lead of the contest at 3-2 following a lay-up by Victoria Sobocinski at 16:58. The deficit lasted 29 seconds as Doane knocked down a jumper. Later in the period, she assisted on Earley's first trey to spot Gettysburg an 11-4 lead eight minutes into the game.

The Fords closed to a single possession several times in the opening period, including 22-19 at 3:26. The hosts were unable to pull closer, however, as a turnover led to a jumper by Moser. Gettysburg posted nine of the final 11 points to head into the break with a 31-22 lead.

The Bullets wasted little time in the final period, as a jumper by Moser kicked off a 14-5 run to put the scoreboard at 45-27 with 15:56 to play. The double-digit advantage remained for the majority of the half until a late run by Haverford closed the gap to nine (56-47) with three minutes to play.

McGrory provided the game's final daggers, knocking down a pair of free throws and swishing a three-pointer at the one-minute mark to help seal the win.

Gettysburg finished 23-of-50 (46 percent) from the field, including 7-of-14 from deep. The Bullets won the battle of the boards 32-28 and forced 22 Haverford turnovers.

One game removed from the second-lowest point total of her career, Moser finished 5-of-9 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. McGrory and Doane each connected on a pair of three-pointers, the former adding a pair of blocked shots as well. Earley nearly tripled her previous season-best scoring effort, while helping hold Haverford's leading scorer Nina Voith (four points) nearly 13 points below her season average.

Dominique Meeks led the Fords with 19 points, six rebounds, and six rebounds. Sobocinski added nine points and Calla Miller posted seven points and three assists.

A four-game week for the Bullets wraps up on Saturday, Jan. 8, at home against Washington College at 2 p.m.
