The Millikin women's basketball team wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 66-46 win at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa on Dec. 21.
Millikin's offense was in high gear as the Big Blue converted on 55 percent of its shots including shooting 56 percent (9-16) from three point range. The Big Blue held
Cornell to 28 percent from the field and 14 percent from three point land. Millikin won the rebounding battle 37-32.
Millikin got a career high 21 points from sophomore guard Olya Cholewick. Elise Wildman and Julia Robert each scored 15. Crystal Zeigler had a team high 15 rebounds.
Cornell's top scorer and rebounder was Camille Marie-Lidd and 11 points and eight rebounds.
Millikin goes to 8-3 on the season while Cornell falls to 6-4.
After a break for the holidays, Millikin will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at Elmhurst College at 7:30 to open play in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).
