More news about: Medaille

(Bradford, PA) – It wasn't the Lady Mavs best performance of the year but the result was familiar as the 22nd ranked Medaille women held on for a (56-54) win at Pitt-Bradford this evening.

The win is the third straight for Medaille and it keeps them unblemished in league play at (3-0).

The hero of this game would be freshman Bianca Smiley (Tonawanda, NY/Sweet Home)  who continued her collegiate maturation process.  On this night she would lead the Lady Mavs with (17) points and (9) rebounds.  None of her field goals was more important than the layup she converted with four seconds remaining in the game that would prove to be the game winning bucket.

Senior Amanda Sahhar (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) aided in the victory by tallying (13) points while grabbing (8) boards.

Meanwhile fellow senior Kacie Mills (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore East) guided the Lady Mavs offense by dishing out a handful of helpers, finishing with five assists.

The victory pushes Medaille to (5-1) overall and they will head to Steubenville, OH on Saturday (12/11) to face Franciscan University at 2:00pm in another AMCC showdown
