(New York, NY) – The Medaille College women's basketball team jumped out to a quick (14-2) advantage and would lead by as many as (26) points en route to a (82-63) pasting of SUNY Purchase in the second game of the NYU Tip-off Tournament.
The Lady Mavs received another strong performance from rookie Joelle Pollak (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore East) who tied for a game high with (14) points, while also pulling down (7) boards and dishing out (3) assists.
Senior Jordan Schrimmel (Cheektowaga, NY/Depew) was lights out from behind the arc, connecting on (4 of 6) deep attempts and finishing with (12) points.
Meanwhile, senior point guard Kacie Mills (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore East) had a very efficient evening as she was (3 for 4) from the field for (9) points, while doling out (6) assists and commiting just one turnover.
The Lady Mavs are now (2-0) on the year and will face NYU tomorrow (11/20) at 8:00pm in the Championship game of their tournament.
