Grantham, PA- Casey Stanton (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) netted a game high 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Pitt-Greensburg (0-1) fell at #15 Messiah College (1-1) 77-45. The Lady Bobcats will play Lycoming College tomorrow at 1:00 PM in the second day of the Messiah Hampton Inn Tip-Off Classic.
Pitt-Greensburg fell behind early committing six turnovers in the opening four minutes of play and trailed Messiah 41-17 at the half. First year head coach Erin Eaton was able to rally the troops during the intermission as the Lady Bobcats played a much better second half.
Pitt-Greensburg shot 36.7% from the floor in the second half after shooting just 25% in the opening frame.
Ali Bilak (Wall, PA/East Allegheny) scored nine points and dished out six assists.
Pitt-Greensburg faces Lycoming College who fell 73-65 in overtime to Rowan University in the first game of the double header.
