Chatham Wins 2010-11 Season Home Opener Against Mount Aloysius

PITTSBURGH, PA (November 15, 2010) . . . The Chatham University women's basketball tipped off tonight with regular season play in a non-conference home opener against Mount Aloysius College. The Cougars earned the victory tonight 69-65 – their fourth consecutive home opener victory to date.

Leading Chatham to victory tonight was senior Kayla Hilko (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) with 18 points. Redshirt senior Brittany Brown (Bellefontaine, OH/Bellefontaine) also added 15 points of her own in the Cougars first ever victory over Mount Aloysius in the two teams' past four meetings.

Chatham (1-0, 0-0) returns to action this weekend, Friday and Saturday, November 19th and 20th, as they host the Fourth Annual Purple Reign Tip-Off Tournament at the Athletic and Fitness Center (AFC). The Cougars play Franciscan University at 6 pm on Friday and will either play at 1 pm or 3 pm on Saturday, depending on the result.
