THE DETAILS
• Benedictine struggled in the first half, making just five field goals and trailing by as many as 26 points
• Eric Grygo made a layup at the 17:47 mark of the first half to tie the game at 2-2, but Benedictine went nearly 10 minutes before scoring again
• The defense was able to hold Hope back despite the struggles, trailing just 14-2 before another Grygo basket more than halfway through the first
• Benedictine went through another stretch of over ive minutes without a field goal as Hope began to pull away, leading 36-15 at the break
• Benedictine shot just 20.8 percent in the first half including 1-of-12 from three-point range and just 4-for-13 at the free throw line
• Kyle Graebner connected on a three with 16:31 to go in the game that brought Benedictine within 41-26, but Hope countered every Benedictine surge
• The hosts built the lead back to 25 points near the mid-point of the half
• Walter Taylor opened a 6-0 run, but Hope still led by 20 with 5:34 left
• Hope scored just four points the rest of the night as Benedictine mounted a furious attempt at a comeback
• Nick Kosich ignited a stretch of 11 in a row with two free throws
• Trailing 62-50 with 3:31 left, Benedictine missed a pair of threes in an attempt to shrink the deficit within double figures, but a three-point play from Chris Hester did bring Benedictine within 64-55 at the 1:28 mark
• A pair of turnovers prevented Benedictine from getting any closer

• Benedictine shot 37 percent in the second half but finished the game shooting 30.5 percent
• 16 players took to the floor in the contest as the team continues to search for consistent lineups
• Benedictine got aggressive on the glass in the second half and held a 42-39 advantage on the glass
• Grygo finished with 21 points in 25 minutes of action
• Kosich added 12 while Kenny Bogus grabbed 11 rebounds
