ROME, Ga. -- Covenant men's basketball junior forward Will Crumly has been named the USA South Player of the Week, for the period ending on Nov. 10, announced the conference on Monday.

It is the third career player of the week honor from the USA South for Crumly.

A junior from Marietta, Ga., Crumly helped the Scots to a 2-0 start to the season by averaging a double-double of 15 points and 13.5 rebounds per game last week. In a 71-66 win over Birmingham Southern to open the year, Crumly had 18 points, on 8-of-13 shooting, and 15 rebounds to go with one assist. He then poured in a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds in a 71-62 win over Sewanee on Saturday.

The double-doubles were Crumly's 11th and 12th of his career, the most career double-doubles for a Scot since the start of the 2003-04 season. Crumly has also scored in double figures in 28 of his last 29 games.

Last week, Crumly was named to the D3hoops.com Preseason All-America fourth team. He became the first Covenant men's basketball player to garner preseason All-America honors in the NCAA era of the program.

Covenant is 2-0 to start the season for the first time since the 2016-17 season. The Scots are back in action on Nov. 19 against Birmingham Southern in the home opener (7 p.m.).
