LaGrange College adds former player Justyn Olson to coaching staff

LaGrange College men's basketball coach Kendal Wallace announces Justyn Olson as the graduate assistant coach for the 2019-20 season. Olson is beginning his third season as a part of the coaching staff at LaGrange, serving as a volunteer assistant coach the past two seasons. 

Olson began his collegiate career at Central Georgia Technical College, where he played for one season. Olson played three seasons at LaGrange College after transferring from Central Georgia. As a Panther, Olson led the team to two USA South Tournament championships and the first ever at-large bid by a USA South team to the NCAA tournament. During his LC career, Olson was named to the USA South All-Tournament team twice and a  All-Conference second team selection. He is one of four players to have recorded over 1,200 points and 200 assists during his career at LC. Olson is also in the school's career Top 10 in five different categories and 16th on the all-time scoring list. 

Olson graduated from LaGrange College in 2018 with a bachelors of science in exercise science. He is a graduate of LaGrange High School, leading his team to a region championship as a senior. Olson is currently pursuing a master of arts in teaching degree with certifications in middle grades science and reading at LaGrange College.
