The Hope College men's basketball team rebounded again after a tough road league defeat.

The Flying Dutchmen downed visiting Adrian College 76-68 on Saturday at DeVos Fieldhouse to bounce back from a loss at Calvin College three days earlier.

Guard Riley Lewis of Williamston, Michigan (Williamston HS) scored a team-high 25 points for the Flying Dutchmen, who improved to 9-6 overall and 2-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.

Hope joined a three-way tie for third place in the MIAA standings. At 4-0, Albion College is in sole possession of first place.

The Flying Dutchmen play their next two league games on the road: Wednesday, January 16 at Alma College and Saturday, January 19 at Olivet College.

Senior guard Jason Beckman of Shelby, Michigan (Shelby) and sophomore guard Calvin Hackert of Ludington, Michigan (Ludington) chipped in 13 points apiece. It was a career-high for Hackert.

Senior guard Teddy Ray of Fort Wayne, Indiana (Homestead) added nine points.

Hope made 12 3-pointers — equaling its second-highest total of the season. Lewis shot 55.6 percent from 3-point range (5-9). Hackert buried all three of his 3-point attempts. Beckman sank two, while Ray and sophomore Danny Beckman of Shelby, Michigan (Shelby) had one apiece.

The Flying Dutchmen overcome Adrian's tandem of guard Jordan Harris (28 points) and forward Jeremy Kalonji (27 points).
