Senior Connor Bair scored a career-high 26 points to lead five Tommies in double figures as host St. Thomas pulled away from Hamline to win 80-58 in Schoenecker Arena.

Since losing its season opener 78-77 on the road in New York on a last-second putback, St. Thomas (10-1, 6-0 MIAC) has won 10 in a row and remains in a share of the conference lead with St. John's. 

The Toms have held five of their six MIAC opponents under 66 points. 

St. Thomas sank 48 percent from the floor, hit 11 3-pointers, had only nine turnovers, and posted a 36-10 advantage in bench points. They closed the first half on a 7-0 run to lead 43-28 at the break. The Pipers never got closer than 15 in the second half.

Bair sank 10-of-12 shots from the field and is shooting 69 percent on the season.

Freshman guard Anders Nelson had 10 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals. Among bench players, Tommy Anderson and Burt Hedstrom each scored 11 points, and freshman Riley Miller added 10.

Connor Knutson scored 13 points, Isaac Brooks added 10 points and seven boards, and Jake Larson chipped in 10 points and seven assists for Hamline (7-5, 4-3).

St. Thomas is home Monday night to face once-beat St. Olaf.
