The Baruch College Bearcats forced 30 turnovers and broke open a close contest in the final five minutes to defeat the Golden Eagles from the SUNY College at Brockport, 61-49, on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

Benjamin Boateng was a spark off the bench with a near double-double of nine points and 12 rebounds, while William Sixsmith (17 points) and Bryler Paige (14 points) each had solid games to help improve the team's record to 4-1.

The Bearcats led 46-45 with exactly five minutes remaining, but scored on their next six possessions to go up 59-49 with 2:08 left. That game-busting run made the biggest difference.

The Bearcats scored 33 points off Brockport's 30 turnovers, while also limiting the Golden Eagles from the SUNY Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) to 3-of-17 from beyond the ARC.

Devante Hagins led the visitors with 12 points.
