PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Four different players scored in double figures as the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's basketball team routed The College of Wooster on Tuesday night, 90-57, in a non-conference matchup inside Manning and Napier Varsity Gymnasium on Bobby Wanzer Court.  With the win, Fisher, which is ranked 19th in the initial D3hoops.com poll, evened its record at 2-2 while the Fighting Scots suffered their first loss of the season and moved to 2-1.

The Cardinals got off to a strong start and never looked back as Fisher held Wooster without a field goal over the first 5:32 of action and owned an 8-1 lead.

The Fighting Scots battled back as the half wore on and eventually took a one-point lead, 19-18, after an 8-2 run, but Ryan Henderson buried a corner 3-pointer on a feed from Tyler English to spark a 20-5 run over the final six minutes of the first half to hold a 38-24 lead at intermission.

Fisher's offensive surge continued as the second period got underway with the Cardinals using an 18-6 run including seven unanswered points to build a 26-point advantage, 56-30, with over 13 minutes left to play.

Wooster continued to get up and down the court and came to within 24 points, but the Cardinals continued to apply the pressure down the stretch and pushed their lead to 31 points after a 7-0 run highlighted by four points from English made it 65-34.  From there, the Cardinals' edge grew to as many as 35 points before the final horn sounded.

As a team, the Cardinals had a distinct advantage on the glass and out-rebounded Wooster, 47-28.  Fisher had a season-high 17 offensive rebounds and held the Fighting Scots to just 19 made field goals all game (19-for-57, .333).

English led the way with his first double-double of the season.  The senior notched 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting and hauled in 12 rebounds to go along with three assists and a blocked shot.  Sammy Robinson also added a double-double in the win with 15 points and 11 boards while Henderson contributed 16 points and eight rebounds overall.  James Leone had a career-high 14 points including a highlight dunk and three buckets from behind the arc.

The Cardinals return to action at 7:30 p.m. on November 30 when they travel to Cortland to take on the Red Dragons in a non-conference pairing.
