Bison starters reach double digits in NEAC road win over Penn St.-Berks

READING, Pa. - After an emotional win last night over the defending North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) men's basketball champions, one would understand if Gallaudet University would suffer a let down on Saturday. That was not the case as the Bison defeated Penn St.-Berks, 82-76, here Saturday afternoon to complete a successful 2-0 NEAC weekend.

Gallaudet (4-2, 3-0 NEAC) has now won three in a row and is in first place of the NEAC South Division heading into a busy week full of conference games.

The Bison starting five all scored in double figures led by senior center Joshua McGriff (Somerset, N.J.) who finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks, two steals and one assist.

Senior guard Raymond Nelson (Riverside, Calif.) had a monster game with 14 points and a career best 17 rebounds, six assists and one block. Junior forward Andy Cruz (Bronx, N.Y.) added 12 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and one assist while freshman guard Noah Valencia (Riverside, Calif.) poured in 12 points as he made 2-of-9 of his 3-pointers and grabbed two rebounds and two assists.
