The Anchormen (1-11) started the game hot from the field, opening a seven point lead on a layup by junior forward Terrance Tribble (White Plains, NY) with 14:17 left in the first half. The Cardinals (11-1), winners of 11 straight games, rallied to retake the lead on a three-pointer by senior guard Jack Mackey (Warwick, NY) with 6:21 left in the frame. The teams traded buckets down the stretch with a late trey by Wesleyan junior forward PJ Reed (Fort Lee, NJ) putting the Cardinals up by four, 36-32, entering the half. |

The Cardinals opened the second half on a run, increasing their lead to eight points, 43-35, on an old-fashion three point play by senior guard BJ Davis (Hamden, CT) with 17:06 left in the half. RIC trimmed the deficit down to one with just over 10 minutes left in the game, but a quick 4-0 run by Wesleyan put them up by five with 9:41 left in the second half. Holding a seven point advantage, 66-59, with 2:55 remaining in the second half, RIC used a 7-0 run, with Green scoring the final five points, which included a runner in the lane with 25 seconds left, to send the game into overtime. |

The Cardinals used a fast start in the extra session to take a seven point lead, which was capped by four straight points from junior guard Harry Rafferty (Dubuque, IA), to take a 78-71 lead with just 39 seconds left in the contest. Green nailed a pair of late treys but it was too late as Wesleyan escaped with the victory. |

RIC shot 36.5 percent (27-for-74) from the floor, 23.3 percent (7-for-30) from three-point land and 72.7 percent (16-for-22) from the free throw line for the game. Green led all scorers with 25 points. Tribble notched a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Sophomore guard Roosevelt Shider (Meriden, CT) tossed in 13 points and freshman center Jason Jones (Roxbury, MA) scored nine points to go along with 14 rebounds. |

Wesleyan was led by Davis' 20 points with Reed tossing in 14 of his own. Junior forward Joseph Kuo (New York, NY) (14 points) and senior forward Rashid Epps (New York, NY) (12 points), were also in double figures for the Cardinals. |
