Hilton and Berry Power the Beavers’ Offense in a Tough Loss at Bowdoin

BRUNSWICK, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington men's basketball (0-8) senior Nick Hilton (Wilton, Maine/Mt. Blue) and sophomore Eric Berry (Weld, Maine/Mt. Blue) recorded double figures in a tough 95-48 loss at Bowdoin College(5-3) on Friday night in non-conference action.

Hilton scored a team-high 13 points as the captain extended his streak of scoring double digits to 18 games dating back to last season. Hilton also grabbed a rebound, dished an assist, and stole a ball away from the Bowdoin offense. Berry had an efficient night with 12 points and three rebounds. Berry's inside game was working in his favor as he knocked down 4-of-6 attempts from the charity stripe. The sophomore also had a pair of steals and assists.

Bowdoin's Jack Simonds used a dual-threat of three pointers and points in the paint to chart a game-high 27 points. Simonds wa 11-for-13 from the floor and 5-of-6 from long range. Simonds nearly came away with a double-double as he amassed a game-high eight rebounds. Lucas Hausman added 19 points for the Polar Bears on 7-of-11 shooting.
