MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Berry College men's basketball team lost to Rhodes College, 86-47, on Sunday afternoon. The loss dropped the Vikings to 7-16 overall and 3-9 in the Southern Athletic Association. The win improved the Lynx to 16-6 and 9-3. Although the Vikes pushed for the lead early in the contest, Rhodes led for the majority of the game and held a 40-31 lead at halftime. Lukas Korn and Owen Jacobs led the Berry offense with 12 points apiece. Korn was 5-7 shooting, as well as 2-3 from the free throw line. He also collected eight rebounds in the loss. Jacobs was 5-10 shooting and 2-3 from the free throw line. Jacobs grabbed eight rebounds for the Vikes. Nick Marder put up eight points for the Vikings in the loss. He was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line and also collected six rebounds. For the Lynx, Drew Miller scored a game-best 24 points. Miller was 9-14 shooting and sank four three-pointers in the contest. He also earned eight rebounds in the win. The Vikings made 71-percent (10-14) of their free throws, compared to 52-percent (9-17) for Rhodes. The Lynx, however, led in almost every other offensive category, including rebounds (42-34) and steals (18-6). BC will host Centre College in their next game on Friday, February 20, at 8 p.m.
