ST. DAVIDS, Pa.--Eastern University Men's Basketball snapped a three-game skid with a 94-67 victory over the Bryn Athyn College Lions on Monday night.

The Eagles posted a well-balanced scoring effort with all five starters and a substitute scoring in double-digits. Austin Carroll led all Eagles with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and also pulled down nine rebounds. Anthony Concepcion and Tarek Hamzeh each scored 14 points, and Malcolm Garrison and Austin James both had 11. James collected 10 rebounds as well to finish with a double-double. Shaun Thomas put up 10 points off the bench, a career-high for him as an Eagle.

Hot shooting from behind the ark sparked the Eagles first-half double-digit lead. The Eagles hit six 3-pointers in the first 10-and-a-half minutes of the game to take an 11-point lead. Eastern shot 9-for-20 (45 percent) from downtown in the first half and hit a season-high 13 treys in the game. Thomas hit a 3-pointer with 27 seconds left in the first half to help break the game open. Justin Lenzer added two free throws with 0.3 seconds before halftime to send Eastern into the locker room with a 17 point lead.

The Lions pulled within 12 points twice in the second half, but the Eagles kept them at bay and had a 20-point lead for the final seven minutes of the game.

Eastern held Bryn Athyn to 36.8 percent shooting from the floor and 26.1 percent from long range. Bryn Athyn struggled beneath the basket, missing 17 baskets in the paint. Lions' Stephen Johnson scored a game-high 19 points.

For the first time this season, the Eagles won the rebound column, out-rebounding the Lions 44-37.

Eastern (3-5) plays on Wednesday at Ursinus College at 7 p.m. to wrap up the 2014 portion of the season. The Eagles will pick up on Jan. 2 in Roanoke, Va., versus Swarthmore College.
