Eagles Drop Final Game of 2012 to Tournament Host St. John Fisher, 65-54

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – In its first meeting with host St. John Fisher, Juniata men's basketball dropped its final game of 2012, 65-54, at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa Invitational Sunday afternoon.  Juniata dropped to 8-4 with the loss while the Cardinal improved to 7-4.

Junior Jeremy Hays (McMechen, W. Va./John Marshall) led the Eagles with 13 points.  He also had a game-high three steals.  Senior Alex Raymond (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Altoona) also hit double-digits, finishing with 12 points.  Both Raymond and Hays each finished with a game-high three assists.

Juniata turns its attention to the New Year where they open 2013 at home against Scranton in a double-header with the women's team Saturday, Jan. 5.  The women play at 2 p.m. with the men following at 4 p.m.  The Eagles have been facing Scranton since the 1959-60 season. Despite being behind in the all-time series with the Royals, Juniata outscored Scranton 208-196 last year in their three meetings.
