More news about: Drew

Dolphin sophomore Bloochy Magloire had a game-high 31 points, including a 7-for-10 effort from behind the 3-point arc. T.J Tibbs notched a double-double, scoring 13 and dishing out 12 assists. Drew (2-3) had three players in double figures, led by Asmar Capers (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) who chipped a team-high 17 points.

The Dolphins led from start to finish beginning with 16-4 run, and the game's first eight points. Magloire was on fire right from the start, scoring 21 of the Dolphins 41 first-half points. A basket by Magloire gave the Dolphins a 25-point lead with 3:31 remaining in the first frame. The Rangers worked the lead back down to 20 with an 8-3 run to close the book on the first period.

The Rangers found themselves in a familiar spot, as they came back from by as many as 19 points a season ago to defeat the Dolphins 69-67 in Baldwin Gym. Reigning Landmark Conference Player of the Week, Terrell Brown (Camden, N.J./Woodrow Wilson), scored eight points in 18-6 run to open the final half of play, dwindling the lead to Dolphin lead with 13:13 left in the game.

The Dolphins answered the call and responded with a 20-8 run, putting the game out of reach with a 22-point lead at the 4:37 mark.

The 81 points and the 59 percent shooting from the field was the highest by any Drew opponent this season.  The Dolphins also owned the advantage on the glass, out-rebounding the Rangers 37-26.

Brown finished the game with 14 points and four rebounds while senior Dara Mc Keon (Dunboyne, Ireland/St. Peter's Collge) added 10 points and six assists.

The Rangers will open up Landmark Conference play on Saturday when they travel to Kings Point, N.Y. to take on Merchant Marine. The men will be the first of a conference doubleheader at 2:00 p.m. followed by the women at 4:00 p.m.
