LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College went on a 15-0 run in the second half to lift the Green Knights to a 65-47 Midwest Conference win over Lake Forest College at the Sports & Rec Center.

St. Norbert, which has won 30 of its last 35 games, is now 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the MWC. Lake Forest dropped to 3-4, 2-2. The Green Knights holding the Foresters to under 50 points marks the fourth time in eight games this year St. Norbert has accomplished that mark.

The Green Knights led 39-27 before Lake Forest cut into the deficit with to trail 39-32 with 10 minutes 15 seconds left. John Taylor's 3-pointer 13 seconds later started the run. Following a pair of David Wipperfurth free throws, Taylor canned another 3-pointer and had a steal and a layup to make it 49-32 with 7:15 left. Brandon Gries's jumper and Chris Peterson's 3-pointer closed out six straight scoring possessions for a 54-32 advantage with 5:48 to go.

The big run, during which Lake Forest missed three shots and had four turnovers, was St. Norbert's third run of at least 12-0 this season.

St. Norbert opened the game on a tear, leading 15-2 eight minutes into the game. The Green Knights led 17-5 with 10:04 left in the half before the Foresters went on a 15-6 run to make it 23-20 with 3:35 left before St. Norbert settled on a 29-22 halftime lead.

The Green Knights shot 52.1 percent (25-for-48) from the floor to snap out of a three-game shooting slump. Taylor and Wipperfurth had 12 points each, while Garrett Thorn added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Lake Forest shot 15-for-46 (32.6 percent) from the floor, including just 6-for-25 (24 percent) in the second half. Nate Bateman's nine points led Lake Forest, which had 17 turnovers.
