Amherst held Bowdoin without a field goal for a 10-minute span and pulled away from the Polar Bears, 65-45, securing the Mammoths' second straight NCAA Division III women's basketball national championship.

Polar Bears plow through Wartburg
Bowdoin shot 50 percent from the floor, drilled 10 three pointers and didn't miss a free throw in a 90-62 dominating performance against previously unbeaten Wartburg. Abby Kelly led the way with 23 points for the Polar Bears.

Mammoths march into title game
Amherst's stingy defense held Thomas More nearly 40 points below its season scoring average and the Mammoths defeated the Saints, 66-48. The Mammoths extended their winning streak to 65 games with a victory over the last team to beat them.

The final four teams in the NCAA Tournament are the teams ranked Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 5 after Amherst, Bowdoin and Thomas More rolled into the national semifinals and Wartburg battled past East Texas Baptist in the sectional finals.
