After four seasons, Sheila Cook Mahony is out as head women's basketball coach of Alvernia. The move was not announced, but her name was removed from the department athletics website.

After spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Scranton, Mahony came to Alvernia in May of 2015 and spent four years as head coach of the Golden Wolves. Alvernia was 17-83 over that span, a .170 winning percentage.

Alvernia has lost 38 consecutive MAC Commonwealth games. The Golden Wolves finished this season 3-22 overall.
