Casi Donelan, who was the primary assistant to Kerry Jenkins at Oberlin for three seasons, will be the next women's basketball head coach at Bard College.
The College's Athletic Director Kris Hall announced the hiring on Friday.
"We're very excited to have Casi join our staff," said Hall in Bard's release. "She has experience recruiting the kind of student-athletes who will succeed at Bard, she's quite familiar with the Liberty League, and she has great energy and determination. She will be an excellent ambassador for Bard Athletics."
Donelan spent the last three seasons as the primary assistant at Oberlin during which the Yeowomen went 39-40. By comparison Oberlin went 24-54 in the three seasons before that period. Donelan also spent a season as an assistant at Liberty League rival Skidmore before moving to Oberlin.
"I am honored and excited to join the Bard staff," Donelan said. "I look forward to hitting the recruiting trails hard and focusing on development as we begin to build this program to the caliber necessary to compete with the powerhouse teams in the Liberty League."
Donelan played three seasons at Division II Lockhaven (Pa.) where she earned her Bachelor's degree in 2010. She was a graduate assistant for two seasons at Bethany where she earned her Master's degree.
Donelan replaces Sarah Cartmill who went 9-66 in three seasons at Bard.
The Raptors were one of three Division III women's teams that went winless in 2016-17, along with Edgewood and Green Mountain. Bard has won just one game in the Liberty League since joining the conference six seasons ago.
