She replaces David Bostick, who led Fitchburg to a 13-12 record in his one and only season as head coach.

"I am very pleased to name Brooke Freeburg as the new head women's basketball coach at Fitchburg State University,” said athletic director Sue Lauder. "Brooke brings great enthusiasm and knowledge to the university and I am very excited to have her join our staff.”
