Team of the Week

The Team of the Week presented by Scoutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 16th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week.

Women's

Christina Marquette
Marquette scored 27 points and was one rebound shy of a career-high with 15 boards as she willed the Yeowomen to a 56-55 come-from-behind victory over Kalamazoo, hitting five second-half threes along the way. She followed up that performance by scoring 24 points and dishing out a career-high six assists to go along with eight boards in an 84-74 vs. Goshen. Marquette shot 45.9 percent from the floor and averaged 5.0 assists.

Sam Barber
Barber averaged 26.5 points over the team's opening weekend, leading No. 7 UWSP to wins over host Millikin in the season opener and No. 1 Calvin in game two. A first-team D3hoops.com Preseason All-American, Barber shot 71.4 percent from the floor and 80 percent from three-point range while averaging 5.5 rebounds per contest. 

Tresta Donahoo
Donahoo led Howard Payne in wins over Berry and Huntingdon. She averaged 24.5 points over the two games shooting 55.2 percent from the field. She scored 25 versus Berry sparked by 5-for-6 shooting from behind the arc, adding seven assists and five steals. The next day she scored 24 in a win over Huntingdon with a team high 10 rebounds. She shot 7-for-10 from 3-point range and 10-for-12 from the line.

Annie Bourne
Bourne averaged 14.0 points and 20.0 rebounds as Southwestern opened the season with a pair of wins against American Southwest Conference teams. She show 52.6 percent from the floor and averaged 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals and had three blocked shots in the two games.

Kristina Williams
Williams averaged 30 points per game in just 22.5 minutes. She had 29 points on 11-for-17 shooting against UC Santa Cruz to go with 14 rebounds and added 32 points against Corban, shooting 12-for-13 from the floor.

Men's

Andy Winters
Winters had nine points and five assists in the first half as OWU built a 40-20 lead vs. Defiance  at Marietta's tournament before finishing with 14 points and eight. He scored 10 points and dished out nine assists the following night against Marietta. He turned the ball over just twice.

Marco Coppola
Coppola showed no signs of a sophomore slump. The guard opened the campaign with a career-high 33 points in the Engineers' win against Castleton State and added a game-best 23 in a road win at Little East Conference preseason favorite Keene State. Coppola shot 57.9% on the week while averaging five rebounds per game. 

Travon Vann
Vann averaged 24 points and 11 rebounds, leading Salisbury to a 3-0 start with wins over Washington College, SUNY-Old Westbury and Lycoming. Vann scored a game-high 22 points, added three assists and a steal against the Shoremen. He followed that up with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists against the Panthers and then had 30 points, 18 boards, six assists and three blocks at Lycoming. 

Danny Brooks
Brooks averaged 23 points and 9.5 rebounds to lead LVC in its opening weekend at the Rinso Marquette Tournament. Brooks poured in a career-high 30 points to go with 13 boards against No. 4 Middlebury in the final. Against Staten Island, he had 16 points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks in the win. He shot 60% for the weekend, including 13-for-19 from the floor vs. Middlebury. Both Staten Island and Middlebury were NCAA Sweet 16 teams a year ago.

Chris Kearney
Kearney helped lead CUA to a pair of wins over nationally ranked opponents at the Hoopsville National Invitational Classic. Kearney averaged 18.5 points on 58% shooting, to go along with 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 3.0 blocks in the two wins. He netted 18 points, pulled down six boards and registered three steals and three blocks in a 67-41 blowout of No. 16 Transylvania on Friday, before coming back with 19 points on 9-for-15 shooting, to go along with 12 boards, three blocks and a steal in Saturday's 65-52 win over No. 19 St. Mary's. He turned the ball over just once in 77 minutes of action.
