Team of the Week

The Team of the Week presented by Scoutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 16th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week.

Men's

Tyler Peters
Peters scored 20 points in Wheaton's 71-69 overtime win against North Central on Saturday night and registered a game-high 28 points with six assists in a victory against Elmhurst last Wednesday. He shot 61 percent from the floor and averaged 5.0 assists. He was 2-for-4 from 3-point range.

John Ivy
Ivy averaged 24.7 points and 3.0 steals per game in a 3-0 week for the Golden Eagles. He shot 51 percent from the floor, 9-for-20 from 3-point range and 7-for-8 from the line, while averaging 4.0 rebounds.

Ryan Sheehan
Sheehan averaged 38.0 ppg in a pair of wins for the Bison last week. He scored 38 points in 38 minutes in a 119-112 come-from-behind win over first-place Curry. Two days later, he duplicated his scoring output in a 100-92 win at Western New England. Sheehan shot 8-for-14 from 3-oint range and 25-for-47 from the floor.

Dan Kornbaum
Kornbaum averaged 21.0 points and 9.7 rebounds, while shooting 64.9 percent from the field, in a 2-1 week for Augsburg. In a home win over Bethel on Monday, Kornbaum shot a perfect 10-for-10 from the field and scored 27 points with 12 rebounds. In Wednesday's win at Hamline, Kornbaum collected his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 21 points with 11 rebounds. On Saturday, Kornbaum had 15 points with six rebounds in an Auggie loss at Concordia. He shot 65 percent from the floor and 2-for-3 from downtown.

Mark Lessen
Lessen averaged 30.5 points and 12.0 rebounds in two SLIAC starts last week, as his 31-point effort Wednesday at Blackburn pushed him over the 1,000-point plateau for his career. For the week, he shot 71 percent (25-for-35) from the field, adding six blocked shots, two assists and a steal.

Women's

Lianna Carrero
In three victories for the Falcons on the week, Carrero tallied an average of 31.3 points per game. She shot 49.3 percent from the field on the week and added 3.7 rebounds per game. In a 75-73 win over Norwich, Carrero registered a career-high 46 points on 16-of-25 (64 percent) shooting from the floor. She was 3-of-3 behind the arc and 11-of-14 from the line. In a 71-58 win at Lasell, the junior tallied 30 points, three assists and three rebounds. 

Serafina Nuzzo
Nuzzo had a big week leading the Big Red to win over Oberlin and Hiram. Nuzzo scored 23 points, six steals, five rebounds and three assists against Hiram. On Thursday vs. Oberlin she led the way with 21 points, five rebounds and five steals. She shot 60 percent from the field and was 9-for-14 from beyond the arc on the week.

Makenzie Brandon
Brandon scored 54 points in a 115-105 win over La Verne on Thursday, shooting 23-for-30 against the run-and-gun Leopards, and scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in a 58-56 loss to Chapman. She also had 14 rebounds and eight assists against the Leopards. 

Chelsea Benham
Benham averaged 25.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in the two games. She posted season-highs with 29 points and 17 rebounds in a 67-55 win over Hendrix. Two days later, Benham notched game-highs with 22 points and 14 rebounds in a 71-66 loss to Rhodes. In the two games combined, she made 18 of her 31 shots (58.1%) from the floor, including 14 of 17 (82.4%) from the free throw line.

Sarah Collins
Collins had another huge week for Babson, averaging 23.0 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game while shooting 61.8 percent (21-for-34) from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line. On Wednesday, she shot 11-for-18 as part of a 22-point, 13-rebound, five-block performance in a 65-45 win at WPI. Then on Saturday, she scored 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting to go with 16 boards, two assists, three blocks, and two steals in a 70-52 victory at Mount Holyoke.
